Revenge Rap
The potion mighty as a granite rock,
in a wide mouth jar - real easy to stock.
Contents swaying in hues of midnight,
lethal combo; knock the drinker out of sight.
On the label, a list of many names.
Some here, some gone; damage done the same.
Older hands, touching childhood skin.
Under the eyes of God and next of kin.
I carry the poison, hidden in plain sight.
Witness to my prayers; dressed in mostly spite.
One day, the faces reappearing.
So my intent arrives with me steering.
Unleashing venom, I’ll watch it go down.
My face wearing a smile instead of a frown.
I’ll see the fear spread across their faces.
Then I will know that we traded places.
As the light of life goes out from the eyes,
there'll be no tears upon the demise.
My trauma then finally freed,
and then my soul shall cease to bleed.
She in the Video
Tiny little thing.
Healthy weight,
months old.
Eyes like those of
others,
shining with innocence
and purity.
The video was short and silent.
Removing the gauze where the
diaper usually is,
no explanation was needed.
Some men aren’t men at all.
But beasts in a thin layer of human disguise.
Only a beast would defile
someone so helpless.
Tiny little thing,
healthy weight,
months old.
Eyes like those of other
babies.
Shining with innocence and purity.
For she can’t yet comprehend what happened.
